The webinar informs participants about PRINTING United Alliance’s policy priorities, how to research your legislators before visits, how to demonstrate the positive impact of print in your communities, and how to tell your personal story and connect it to a public policy issue. You will also gain insight into how to continue the conversation with legislators after the event. Attendees will be provided with reading materials prior to the fly-in day. This exclusive event will bring together women from the C-suite and across all segments of the print industry for meaningful connection and conversation. This session will provide attendees with an overview of PRINTING United Alliance’s 2027 legislative agenda and priority issues. You will also receive “leave-behind” materials to share with legislators and their staff to help reinforce key points after a meeting.
Julie Philp, senior partner and Patrick Grant, strategic partner with ACG Advocacy, will provide an engaging presentation on what to do and what not to do when meeting with legislators and/or senior staff to ensure your advocacy efforts are as effective as possible. Q&A session will follow.
First time attending congressional meetings? This peer-led discussion will help demystify the experience and put participants at ease before heading to Capitol Hill. Panelists who have participated in previous legislative fly-ins will share practical insights, lessons learned, and tips for making the most of meetings with congressional offices. From what to expect in the room to how to share your company’s story effectively, this session is designed to build confidence, answer questions, and help attendees feel prepared to advocate for the printing industry.

ACG Advocacy will organize group assignments. Attendees will be escorted via shuttle bus from the hotel to the Capitol Hill steps for a group photo.

Led by an experienced team leader, your group will visit with members of Congress and/or senior staff to make our “asks” and share our collective message of the value of print. Legislators want to hear from their constituents and visits make it much more likely that our elected officials will stand up for us when we need them the most!
We highly recommend taking lunch in the cafeteria of whichever Capitol Building you happen to be in for meetings due to time constraints.
